This is a Mercedes S-Class W222 2018 model (also fits 2016/2017). The customer complaint is that they have fixed an old used air conditioning model but it is not working,
The unit needs to be coded or it needs to be programmed. Here we show how to do a bench programming using CG100X programmer.
Remove the A/C control unit.
This is the old PCB of the air conditioning model.
There is a Renesas processor chip (R7F7010064). We are going to read this data and write on to a new A/C control unit.
In CG100X software, we go to Programmer->Renesas>>RH850>>R7F701064.
Check wiring diagram (144 pins)
Connect CG100X with A/C module via Pro V2 adapter following the diagram
Then we going to read.
Read ID.
Reading the data.
We have to read every data, D-flash, P-flash, OPBT0 and Boot data.
Read D-flash
P-flash is very big over here. It will take a little bit time.
Read OPBT0 data.
Read BOOT data.
Everything has been read and saved.
Unplug this, disorder the wires.
Then we connect CG100X with a new A/C module via Pro V2 adapter using the same wiring diagram.
Write original data to new module. You have to write all data to the new module.
Writing is successful.
Unplug this and reinstall air conditioning module back to vehicle.
Everything goes well.
