CGDI CG70 Airbag reset tool released software V1.0.4.0 on July 30th, 2023.

CG100X Toyota Camry R7F701406 Mileage Correction Guide

CGDI CG100X programmer is good for newer Toyota with R7F and S6J cluster odometer correction. We explained how to change km on S6J cluster previously.

 

Today we will show how to correct mileage for Toyota Camry MY2018- with an R7F701406 processor.

 

Model example:

Toyota Camry 2019

 

Tools used:

CG CG100X Programmer

35X- CAN Adapter

 

 

Purpose:

The original cluster is damaged and cannot communicate. Buy a new dashboard to replace it, but the mileage is too high. It needs to change km to the same as the original.

 

The original car km (desired mileage): 35123km

The new dashboard km: 75861km

 

Remove dashboard and disassemble it

Chip type: With the R7F701406 BGA chip

Run CG100X software

Select Dashboard>> Asian car>> TOYOTA>> CARMY>> 2018- R7F701406 (CAN)

Check the wiring diagram

There are 5 cables need to be connected. (CAN-H, CAN-L, GND, +12V)

If you don’t distinguish the cable in color, check the corresponding cable name in the CAN cable.

Connect 35X-CAN Adapter to dashboard via the CAN cable, and connect to CG100X

After connection, click “Start operation”

Read and backup the original data

Confirm the current km identified, and input new KM to be modified

No need to click “write”

Mileage correction successfully

Finally, disconnect the device and supply power to test the dashboard, now the mileage is the same as the original dashboard.

Put dashboard back to vehicle.

Done.

Read and Write Simos PCR2.1 with CG FC200

CG FC200 1.1.4.0 adds VAG Continental Simos PCR2.1 TC17 engine ECU read and write very fast.

 

Here is the PCR2.1 TC1796 pinout to CG FC200.

Update Log:

V1.1.3.0 adds Continental TC17 platform mode PCR 2.1.

If failed to write PCR2.1 flash, replace this file and rewrite your flash.

1. Open FC200 local file and back up the old file
2. Pull the new file to this folder
3. Restart computer
4. Write flash again

1.1.4.0 software has fixed PCR2.1 write PFlash failure bugs.  No more this issue.

CG FC200 Read EDC16 ECUs with MPC5XX Adapter

CG FC200 Programmer released a new mpc5xx adapter for bench edc16 ECUs (EDC16CP31, EDC16CP35, EDC16C2, EDC16C8 etc).  With this adapter you can read and write edc16 in bench mode.

Not all edc16 ECUs are available yet, but it’s a pretty good start. FC200 released frequent software updates. This has a fairly cheap purchase price!

 

How to Read EDC16 with CG FC200 on Bench?

Example: BMW 5 series EDC16C35

 

Let’s connect the programmer.

CG FC200 goes so quickly because he doesn’t find the difference between these two readings and our opinion is good because it’s not necessary to write all the Flash.

if it’s not necessary like on this case.

You need it only for let’s say EGR or DPF and it’s not necessary to delete all the entire flash.
