What Keys to Use with CGDI Prog MB?

What key can be used with CGDI Prog MB key programmer?

Here is the clue.

CGDI MB doesn’t force you to buy or use CGDI MB keys with that device.

You can use Xhorse BE keys (with green or yellow board). Never had problems with that combination.

You can use also used Benz keys to reset them and program them. Tested many times and it works.
You can use also aftermarket Benz keys. They also working.

Only thing is to buy FBS3 keyless keys from CGDI MB if you’re doing keyless cars.
Keep in mind that keyless keys sometimes can make issues.

Step-by-step procedure:

Step 1: Calculate password

Connect AC adapter with CGDI MB and EIS

Read EIS data

Then go to Compute Password- Copy key without key- Collect data-OBD mode

Insert the simulation key into EIS in 30s

CGDI MB AC Adapter collects data very fast

Save key file

Upload the data to calculate password

Upload data successfully, press Query Results 

Calculate password success. Copy the pass

Step 2: Generate Key File

Go to EIS, read EIS data

Paste password here

Save new EIS data

Go to Generate Key File

Load EIS data just saved

Choose key file format V51 and Generate key file

Key successfully calculated. Save them

Step 3: Write Key

Now go to write new key with CGDI MB

Select Read/Write Key function- Read Key/Chip

Insert new key into CGDI Prog

It is a blank key. Press Open/Write 

Choose common BE key format V51

Choose a key position

Write key success

New key is not activated until we insert it in EIS

Done.

CGDI MB Program Mercedes W221 All Keys Lost on Bench

CGDI Prog MB is possible to program Mercedes Benz W164 2009-/W221 2009- in 2 ways:  via OBD and on bench.

OBD mode takes about 2 hours.
Bench reading shorten the online calculation time to less than 4 minutes. (This requires CGDI MB AC adapter).

Here’s the how-to guide to program W221 all keys lost with CGDI MB on bench.

Step 1: Calculate Password
Open CGDI MB software

Go to Compute Password->Copy key without key->Collect data
Select collect data via Platform mode (quick collection)

Connect the AC Adapter with cgdi follow the wiring diagram
Insert the simulation key within 1 minute, if you have inserted, pull it out and try again

Turn the quick collect adapter switch to the Platform position
Turn ignition switch to ON position
Collection is done.Very fast.

Save file.

Save the file successfully. Upload the data to calculate password.

Upload data just saved

Press Query Result to calculate pass

CGDI MB calculates password success.
Copy the password

Step 2: Save new EIS data
Go to EIS->Read EIS data

Paste the password to corresponding area

Save EIS data

Step 3: Generate Key File

Select Generate Key File function

Select key file format and press Generate Key File

Save key file

Step 4: Write Key

Go to Read/Write Key->Read Key/Chip

Then Reset

Reset operation success

Read key again, check key information
Press Open/Write

Choose a key file (common BE key choose v51 format)

Write key success

CGDI MB and AC Adapter Program Benz old W164 All Keys Lost

Guide: add key to the Mercedes Benz old (A1645450909) EZS W164 when all keys lost using CGDI Prog MB key programmer. With the CGDI MB AC adapter, the data acquisition procedure can be shorten to 9 minutes.

Step 1:  Calculate password

Connect AC Adapter with CGDI MB

Open CGDI MB Software

Read EIS data

Go to Compute Password->Copy Key without Key ->Collect Data-> Platform mode

Check old W164 wiring diagram

Insert the simulation key within 1 minutes.
Turn the quick collect adapter (AC adapter) switch to the platform position. Turn the key
to the ignition switch to ON position.

If CGDI prompts data acquisition failure.  Try again.

If still fail to read ezs data, to rotate the simulation key, you need not knock on the EZS

EZS data collection begins

Data collection success after 9 minutes 

Save data

Upload the data to calculate password

Press Query Result

Calculate password success

Go to EIS function, paste password to Key password area

Read EIS data again

We read the data from the EZS with a password and save.

Step 2: Generate EE

Generate key dumps from the created EZS file

Generate Key File

Generate key file success and save it

Step 3:  Write Key

Go to Read/Write Key

Insert key into CGDI MB detection coil

Read key/chip

Reset key

Insert new key into EZS, the erased key does not accept the lock

Write the key and check its work

Go to Open/Write Key

Select a key position

Write key success

Now the new key works perfectly.

In general, at the moment CGDI MB is the best device for the money!!!
