CG FC200 now supports Mercedes Benz FBS4 VGS4 gearbox TCU data transfer (cloning) on bench mode. The VGS4 TCU is typically found in Mercedes-Benz models from 2014 onwards, such as the S-Class and GLC. Now, we can use the FC200 to virgin and clone this TCU via the bench method, without the need for any destructive drilling on the original gearbox module.
Procedure:
Connect original VGS4 gearbox TCU with FC200 via bench jumper cable.
The wiring connection is very simple. Only connects 4 wires according to the diagram: CAN High, CAN Low, 12V, and GND.
In FC200 software, select Benz- MB GETRAG VGS4-0-NAG2 R5F72544R- Platform mode (Bench)
*FC200 also supports VGS4-500-NAG2 TCU.
Identify the original TCU information.
Read and save the Dflash data.
Next, replace it with a donor TCU:
Identify the donor TCU information.
Back up the Dflash data.
Virgin the donor TCU.
Select the data transfer function.
Load the original VGS4 TCU Dflash data read by FC200 and transfer it.
The transmission cloning is successful.
Install the donor TCU to vehicle without programming.
