This VW Golf VII Johnson control JCI cluster is different as regular MQB cluster. It has a CPU processor D70F3426 and a 95128 eeprom chip. CG100X will do mileage correction for this cluster. Check instructions below:
VW Golf 7 JCI D70F2426+92128 Mileage Correction by CG100X
Example:
Cluster part number: 5GG.920.860
Original mileage: 16,3979km
Main step:
- Read CPU D70F3426 data
- Read 95128 eeprom data
- Write 95128 eeprom data
- Write CPU D70F3426 data
In CG100X software, select MQB- D70F34xx- Remove capacitor way- D70F3426+95128 Interface B.
Check wiring diagram. Need to remove capacitors as the diagram shows. Also requires connecting a D1 adapter.
Hit the Operation button and choose D70F3426 Flash option.
Read and save D70F3426 CPU data.
Remove the 95238 chip and solder to CG100X eeprom adapter. Connect the EEPROM adapter with CG100X main unit.
Don’t need to remove solder wires on the cluster during this process.
Note: Don’t use solderless eeprom clip adapter. It may case data damage. Must remove eeprom chip and read data.
Select 95128 (EEPROM).
Read and save eeprom data.
Flash data is larger (2MB) and eeprom file is smaller (16KB).
After save flash and eeprom data, click Odometer button.
CG100X will ask load original Flash and EEPROM data.
This function requires network connection.
CG100X will detect original mileage, verify the original mileage.
Input the new mileage you desired.
CG100X will generate two new mileage files automatically (flash and eeprom files).
Upload new modified eeprom data (pay attention to the file name) and rewrite new mileage data to the 95128 chip.
Go back to previous menu, select D70F3426 Flash option.
Upload new flash data (pay attention to the file name) and rewrite to CPU D70F3426.
Then disconnect wires from cluster, resolder 95128 chip to cluster.
Put cluster back to vehicle and check new mileage.
VW Golf 7 JCI D70F2426+92128 Mileage Correction by Yanhua ACDP
Yanhua ACDP module 34 also corrects mileage for this cluster and it is much easier than CG100X.
ACDP has a dedicated interface board, no need to remove capacitors and solder wires.
ACDP software has a separate menu, go to MQB48 (JCI- NEC34XX+95128 5A)- D70F2426+92128 option.
With ACDP, you don’t need to remove 95128 eeprom chip separately. ACDP will read both D70F2426 CPU and 92128 eeprom data at the same time.
